What is meant by irritable bowel syndrome?
Irritable bowel syndrome is a relatively common disorder that is manifested periodically and nearly always in response to episodes associated with stress or fatigue, including emotional stress.
In fact, the gut is directly connected to our emotions and, very often, conditions of stress reduce the diversity of the bacteria in the flora, upsetting its balance and causing dysbiosis.
The irritable bowel syndrome appears cyclically and is manifested with more or less severe symptoms, which may make the disease rather disabling, such as an alternation of constipation and diarrhoea, stomach ache and bloating.
